How the periods are built. 1901–2099 use the Köppen-Geiger maps of Beck et al. (2023).
Periods 2101–2190 extend each scenario’s warming trajectory beyond that record, continuing the
poleward expansion of warm climates along a Köppen warming gradient — SSP1 stabilises, while
SSP3 & SSP5 keep warming.
